The Great depression & New Deal

The cause and effect of The Great Depression $ how the New Deal changed the role of the government was considerable and unacceptable. The terms considerable and unacceptable are appropriate because it was good and bad. Its important to understand this was a time Americans were struggling. People have to communicate with each other. After analyzing the documents, I see a negative and positive impact on historical themes: Culture and Politics.

Firstly, the approaches of Hoover and FDR on how to handle the depression affected Culture in a positive and negative way based on new Presidents and old Administrations. For instance, In source 1 ” …President Roosevelt took office… Launched… Programs to ease… Great Depression.” In addition, It sates ” The inflation (Hoover) of the government made things worse than the depression began.” This allows us to see, poor people got the help they needed when FDR became President & Hoover’s way of doing business pushed people away. THE WAY PEOPLE LIVED.

However, some may feel the case for The Great Depression and how the Government changed affected Politics & Culture In only a negative way. However, the evidence in the text shows this was not completely true.

In conclusion, the evidence strongly supports change or continuity in history. In source 3: New Deal… Struggling banks will have a four day vacation. It helps us to understand the past better. We do not have to worry about failing banks. Perhaps people should work together more since they had went into Great depression so we need to prevent that from happening again.

Eisenhower’s cold war policies

The idea of “Eisenhower’s cold war policies” is considerable. I say considerable because it is correct. Historical themes to consider when thinking about this topic are Economics and Culture. For example, President Eisenhower knew the costs associated with large-scale conventional war… he believed it was too expensive. The evidence states ” We ca not defend the nation in a way which will exhaust our Economy… Nuclear weapons, he said, gave ” More bang for the buck.” This allows us to see A positive impact on Economics and increase Culture because the new policy cut military spending from around $50 billion to about approximately $34 billion. In conclusion we see a major focus on Economy. I say Economy because It deals with saving and spending money. This was important because it helps us to understand the past better.Perhaps people should save more money.

westward expansion

Transformation of America as a result of westward expansion was repugnant and respectable. The terms repugnant and respectable are appropriate because it was good and bad. During the westward expansion we had growth of western cities. People wanted to explore and it lead to good and bad things. After the documents, Themes that I considered while analyzing topic are positive and negative impacts on culture and politics.

Firstly, the impact o westward expansion on ideas of America femininity affected CULTURE of the time in a positive way based on new freedom and friendships. For instance, In source 1 “A movement of approximately 40,000 African Americans….. lead to Kansas in the 1870s”. This allows us to see AAs wanted to improve their lives and they had to leave the south and go west and many tried to make sure AA were able to get were able to get a fair start at transforming their lives. The way people lived.

Thirdly, the destruction of Native Americans affected POLITICS of the time in   place in a negative way based on nature changes and relationships. For instance, in source 3 it states, “railroad workers and passengers killed Buffalo for food and sport”. In addition, it states, “greatly weakened plains Indians, who depended on Buffalo. This allows us to see people had a harmful impact on the environment and many settlers did not appreciate the Native American culture, rules and laws.

fifthly, some may feel the transformation of Americans as a result of westward expansion affected politics and culture of the time in mostly a negative way.
